ROBBINSVILLE, NJ --  In a nod to their quality of educational child care, Kiddie Academy of Robbinsville announced Monday that they recently earned national accreditation by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), the nation’s leading organization of early childhood professionals.

Less than 10 percent of all child care centers, preschools, and kindergartens nationally achieve this level of recognition.

“Here at Kiddie Academy we always aspire to achieve the highest educational standards,” said Richard Peterson, VP of Education at Kiddie Academy. “Achieving NAEYC accreditation is a proud moment for us, as we can now highlight the fact that this location is operating against the organization’s high standards in early childhood education to offer parents unparalleled education and care.”

To earn the five-year accreditation, Kiddie Academy of Robbinsville completed an extensive self-study process, measuring the program and its services against more than 400 related accreditation criteria and a set of 10 research-based early childhood program standards.

“We’re proud to have earned the mark of quality from NAEYC, and to be recognized for our commitment to reaching the highest professional standards,” said Bonnie Spinelli, Director of Kiddie Academy of Robbinsville.

For more than 25 years, families have relied on NAEYC Accreditation to ensure the quality of education and care provided in programs for young children. High-quality programs provide a safe and nurturing environment while promoting the development of young children. NAEYC sets research-based standards and provides resources to improve early childhood program quality and enhance the professional development and working conditions of program staff.

The standards were created with input from experts and educators from around the country and developed to raise the quality of education for children from birth through age eight, while defining what NAEYC believes all early childhood programs should provide.

“NAEYC-Accredited programs bring our definitions of excellence for early childhood education to life each day,” said Kristen Johnson, senior director of Early Learning Program Accreditation at NAEYC. “Earning NAEYC Accreditation makes Kiddie Academy of Robbinsville an exemplar of good practice for families and the entire community.”
