Rose Marie (Amabile) Iarrapino

Edison - Rose Marie (Amabile) Iarrapino, 72, passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at JFK Medical Center in Edison following a battle against cancer.

 Born and raised in Jersey City, Rose Marie resided in Clark where she was a graduate of Arthur L Johnson High School.  She settled to Edison in 1967 where she raised her three sons. 

Rose Marie had initially worked at the Liquor Locker, former Stuart -Hill Company and lastly for the Pulmonary Internal Specialists in Edison where she did medical billing until her retirement.

A faithful and longtime communicant of St. Helen’s Church in Edison, Rose Marie, also enjoyed traveling, cruising, dinning out and shopping at Macy’s.  Most important to her was the time spent with her children and grandchildren as well as attending their various sporting events through the years.

 Predeceased by a granddaughter, Nicole, and her parents, Rose and Carmine “ Eddie” Amabile.

 She is survived by a husband of 50 years, Michael Jr., three sons; Michael and his wife Gail, Edward and his fiancé Nyree, and Brian.  A sister; Angela Sweeney and her husband William and will be missed by five grandchildren; Michael, Nicholas, Joseph, Matthew and Erika.

Funeral services will begin on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at 9:00AM in the McCriskin - Gustafson Home For Funerals, 2425 Plainfield Ave, South Plainfield NJ 07080 followed by a funeral mass in St. Helena’s Church, 950 Grove Avenue,  Edison, NJ 08820 at 10AM.

 Entombment will follow in Woodbridge Memorial Gardens, Woodbridge.

 Family and friends may attend visitation on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 from 2-4PM & 6-8PM in the funeral home. 

 In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Susan G. Komen Central and South Jersey,2 Princess Road, Suite D, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.

Bryahna Shaw-Stoudemire Girls’ Volleyball Middle Hitter
