Roseland Recycling Pickup Moved to Friday Due to Storm

January 21, 2014 at 6:05 PM

ROSELAND, NJ - Roseland's Mayor John Duthie announced Tuesday there would be changes in garbage pickup due to the storm:

"Due the inclement weather conditions, please be advised that recycling pickup scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, Jan. 22, has been rescheduled for pickup on Friday, Jan. 24. Paper and cardboard should be placed at the curb no earlier than 7 p.m. on Thursday Jan. 23. Garbage pickup will remain on its regular schedule.

We are also pleased to report that we were able to pick up most of the Christmas trees left curbside in advance of this storm. Anyone whose tree has not yet been collected is encouraged to contact our Department of Public Works at 973-226-6565 for immediate pick up.

We thank our residents for their patience and understanding!"

This comes a year after the circus, due to mounting pressures from animal rights activists, got rid of the elephants.

It is not really ...
