ROSELLE, NJ - Roselle Savings Bank, headquartered in Roselle, celebrated its 125th anniversary on Saturday with an event for the whole community. They provided food, prizes and a raffle for a chance to win a 42-inch LCD television.
One of the highlights of the event was a chance to take a trip down memory lane when they featured an old-fashioned 1950s ice cream truck that gave away free ice cream as well as Roselle Savings Bank ice cream scoops to all those who attend the festivities.
The bank also offer a “Something to Celebrate Anniversary CD” at a special rate for those interested in an opportunity to invest their money.
Roselle Savings Bank Chairman of the Board Bill Fredericks, President and Chief Executive Officer Jill Schafaucer, Senior Vice-President Janice Ritz, and directors Larry Barisonek and Brian Bosenberg were on hand to present a donation of $1,000 from Roselle Savings Bank to the Borough of Roselle. Along with Roselle Mayor Jamel C. Holley, the awards were given to five community organizations. (The Concrete Rose, Roselle Football & Cheer, Boxwood Development, Prevention Links and Literacy Volunteers on Union County.)
The High Bridge branch will celebrate the 125th anniversary with a party the following weekend on Saturday, June 14, followed by the Bernardsville branch on Saturday, June 28.
