BERKELEY HEIGHTS.  The Rotary Club of Berkeley Heights donated World Book Encyclopedias to the Columbia, Hughes, Mountain Park, and Woodward Schools; a set of Animals of the World books to the Mary Kay McMillin School; and a set of career books to Governor Livingston High School. The funding for these books are the result this year’s Rotary Community Breakfast plus donations by club members.

“In today’s tight economy, these books are invaluable to our schools’ Media Specialists, libraries, and students,” confirmed Laurie Scott, Berkeley Heights District Media Supervisor.

“We’ve already put them to use,” added Marilyn Merrill of the Mountain Park and Woodward Schools. “Our students have begun team research assignments using these encyclopedias.”

The Rotary Club of Berkeley Heights is in its 48th continuous year of providing service to our community and the world. The Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from 12:10 to 1:30 PM at The Chimney Rock Inn, 342 Valley Road in Gillette.  The luncheon-and-program is $15 per person and all meetings are open to the public.  Call [908] 447-6290 for meeting and event information.
