ROXBURY, NJ - The Roxbury High School field hockey team today beat Butler in a Morris County Tournament preliminary round game.

The Gaels beat the Bulldogs 4-1 in a game that saw two goals by Emily Stanich and a goal each by Jenna Segrave and Taylor Woolford.

In addition to the goals, Stanich chalked up two assists. Another assist was credited to Hanna Legotte.

Roxbury goaltender Toni Cacopardo made three saves. The Gaels pounded Butler goalie Julia Frankiewicz, forcing her to make 12 saves while the team's other goaltender, Joanna Catalano, blocked two Roxbury goal attempts.

Roxbury, now 5-3, will face Morristown-Beard on Tuesday in the next round of tournament play but first the Gaels take on Randolph on Thursday.
