SUMMIT, NJ – Through December 7, SAGE Eldercare’s SHIP (State Health Insurance Assistance Program) counselors are available -- via telephone and Zoom presentations -- to discuss Medicare plans and options during Open Enrollment. Appointments are available Mondays at 2 p.m., Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Thursdays at 10 a.m.
SAGE Eldercare serves as the SHIP representative for Union County. Staff and volunteers are available for free, personalized, confidential and objective Medicare counseling regarding program options, claims, billing, appeals and information about programs for people with limited income and resources. The counselors receive ongoing training from the Division of Aging Services, New Jersey Department of Human Services.
