SAGE Eldercare’s sound fiscal management practices and commitment to accountability and transparency have earned it a 4-star rating from Charity Navigator, America’s largest independent charity evaluator. Earlier in the fall, SAGE also received the gold participation level with GuideStar Exchange, which indicates the highest level of transparency and accountability provided by the premier source of nonprofit information.
“SAGE’s 4-star rating with Charity Navigator puts it in a very select group of high-performing charities and the GuideStar gold rating places SAGE among the top 3% of rated organizations,” noted Jessica Rosenzweig Gruber, Executive Director of SAGE Eldercare. “Achieving these high ratings demonstrates to our supporters that we take our fiduciary and governance responsibilities very seriously.”
In order to be awarded both of these high ratings, SAGE had to meet the review levels set forth by Charity Navigator and GuideStar, respectively, that demonstrates the organization is a fiscally responsible nonprofit with governance and ethical practices, as well as openly sharing basic information with donors and other stakeholders.
“In the current economic environment, it’s important that our donors trust that we’re using our funding wisely to be a leading provider of programs and services to support the changing needs of older adults, their families and caregivers,” stated Dawn Knill, SAGE’s Director of Development. “SAGE’s supporters should feel much more confident that their hard-earned dollars are being used efficiently and responsibly when they make a donation to our organization.”
