Sai Datta Peetham (SDP) was founded by Mr. Raghu Sankaramanchi in March 2014.  The Peetham is founded based on the preachings of Shiridi Sai Baba.  When Saint Sai Baba was alive, his principals were collated in a book "Sai Satcharitra", based on SDP's main mission to feed the hungry and to help the needy.  Donating the school supplies to the children is a gesture of the mission to serve the South Plainfield Community.

From day one, Sai Datta Peetham started contributing sandwiches, chips, snack bars, and boxes of fruit every weekend to the resident homeless shelters in and around the area.  Priest Mr. Raghu Sankaramanchi's mission, through the Peetham, is to follow Sai Baba's words and put them into action to help our community.  Subha Patibandia reached out to Debbie Boyle to ask that she, Mayor Matt Anesh, Councilmen Rob Bengivenga and Joe Wolak join in the celebration of charity, for the 5th year so they could be presented with backpacks and school supplies.  Pictured are Subha Patibandia the Charity Leader, Priest Raghu Sankaramanchi, Upendra Chivukula, Ashok Baddi, Debbie Boyle, Mayor Matthew Anesh, South Plainfield Council President Robert Bengivenga and Councilman Joe Wolak and members of the Peetham.  Please reach out to Debbie Boyle to obtain back packs and school supplies for those in need.  908 803 1573.  To date 16 back packs have already been requested.
