Sally Lombardo, Retired BOE Employee, Passed Away at Age 70

BERKELEY HEIGHTS, NJ - Sally Ann Lombardo passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 at her home in Berkeley Heights at the age of 70.

Mrs. Lombardo, as the children and community knew her, worked for the Board of Education as a secretary for the Child Study Team, Mountain Park School and then Mary Kay McMillin Early Childhood Center until she retired in 2012 after 25 years of service.  "She loved the children, treating each as her own, and clearly made a difference and affected the lives of many students who went through the Berkeley Heights School system," stated in Sally's obituary.

For years, Mrs. Lombardo was an icon at Mary Kay McMillin [formally known as Hamilton Terrace School]. Working in the school office with the beloved Principal Mary Kay McMillin [who passed away in 2008]. Mrs. Lombardo was the voice to the parents calling in, her honest and direct approach was never mistaken.
