Saturday, Grover Cleveland Park 100th Anniversary Celebration

CALDWELL, NJ - Saturday, Sept. 21, the  Grover Cleveland Park Conservancy will host a community celebration in honor of the park’s 100th Anniversary. The free event will take place at the park from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. and will feature chidren’s activities and musical entertainment by The Five-O Trio and Friends. In addition, there will also be free refreshments provided by Shop Rite and Gelotti’s Ice Cream, and the Cloverleaf Tavern will have food available for purchase. All activities and events will be at the fields by the pond and playground and will take place rain or shine.

The park was acquired in 1913 and in honor of its centennial year, the conservancy has been offering a series of events and celebrations throughout this year. Activities at Saturday's event include:
  • Carnival booth and games
  • Crafts
  • Face painting
  • Bubble fun
  • Sack races
  • Scavenger hunt
Demonstrations from the following groups are also on schedule:

Grover Cleveland Park is spreads out over 41 acres and runs through the Caldwell-Essex Fells border.
