Five years in the making, The Goodbye Cookie is a memoir about hope, courage and never giving up from noted corporate trainer and personal coach Marcia Meislin, who has bravely chronicled her lifetime struggle with food addiction, weight control and self-esteem.
“I'm so excited to see this book in print! I know I can bring hope and practical tips to people who want to overcome food and body image issues, feelings of being ‘not good enough,’ along with feelings of being outsiders in our own lives,” exclaims an ebullient Meislin. “There were difficult times-- revisiting childhood illnesses, disappointments, and shame – but in the end, this has been a thrilling experience as I can see how far I've come and how happy and healthy I feel in everyday life.”
With nearly 30 years of one success story after another as a corporate consultant with her company MCM Management Consultants, Meislin has decided to expand her practice and now focus on helping others reclaim their lives, their bodies and their spirits. Along with her new book is a retooled outreach strategy with a new website http://marciameislin.com/. Through it, Meislin’s prolific efforts take shape in a new blog series, an expanded selection of personal workshop options and a plethora of motivational topics on which Meislin can speak to and inspire groups large and small.
January 22nd marks The Goodbye Cookie’s debut on Amazon.com, http://bit.ly/TheGoodbyeCookie. To mark the occasion, Meislin has created an incentive contest for readers: For every copy of the book bought on Amazon on the 22nd, the purchaser is entered to win a cozy speaking engagement with Marcia and up to 12 friends, colleagues or family members. Why? “It’s been a goal of mine to be an Amazon bestseller,” she explains. For someone whose motto is “I never give up. Neither should you,” this chapter in Meislin’s life is literally a celebration of new beginnings. Word to the wise – Smart Cookies should keep an eye on Marcia Meislin!
