Sussex County Community College (SCCC) is excited to announce the continuation of its Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Criminal Justice Studies for the upcoming Spring semester. The program, which was initially proposed in April, is directed towards seasoned law enforcement professionals who never received or finished a college degree. Students will be able to apply work experience and training earned throughout their criminal justice careers for up to half (thirty) of the required sixty credits needed to earn the AAS in Criminal Justice Studies. After receiving this degree, students can use their new education towards promotions and raises or towards a second career after retirement.
SCCC currently has 250 students enrolled in its Associate of Science (AS) program in Criminal Justice which is designed for someone new to the field. The AAS degree is tailored for students with criminal justice work experience and will offer many of the required classes online. A special online application is available for interested participants. For more information, visit sussex.edu/cjstudies. Prospective students should contact Ed Lyon, a retired state trooper with thirty plus years of experience who is Advisor for this program, at (973) 300-6560 or email@example.com.
