SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ -- The SPF PAL football season came to its conclusion this weekend. The two Scotch Plains Fanwood PAL football teams that qualified for the New Jersey Suburban Youth League playoffs were eliminated with defeats on Sunday, Nov. 4.

The A team Raiders fell in the eight grade playoffs to Somerville Branchburg, 42-2, in Somerville, while the SF D team was edged by Summit, 7-0, in the playoffs for fifth graders.

Thus, the 2018 season has come to a conclusion for the SPF PAL teams. The B and C teams did not qualify for the league playoffs. Meanwhile, this weekend marked the final weekend for flag football action.
