Come join the Westfield Special Education Community for an evening of education and insightful conversation on Wednesday, January 15th at 7:30 p.m. (7:30-8:15 p.m. staff of Special Services Department will present and 8:15-9:30pm parent break-out groups and discussion will take place), at the Edison Intermediate School Library, located at 800 Rahway Ave. in Westfield, NJ.
The Annual Review Season is rapidly approaching. You want to be prepared and knowledgeable about the IEP process so you can be the best advocate for your child. Here is an opportunity to hear from the staff of the Department of Special Services regarding transitioning to the next grade level, changes in services or accommodations or new services being implemented in the district. There will be a brief Q and A session. Directly following this presentation, parents will form breakout groups (Preschool/Elementary/Middle/High School) in order to share information and support. Our objective is to determine appropriate goals, accommodations and services for our children. We look forward to seeing you!
Sponsored by PTC-Special Ed. Committee. This program is free and all parents, teachers, and advocates are invited to attend. No pre-registration is required.
