Scotch Plains-Fanwood 13U, 12U and 10U Baseball Teams All Reach Championship Games

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD, NJ - Three different travel baseball teams representing Scotch Plains-Fanwood will be playing for championships on Friday evening.

The 13U Gold team defeated Randolph on the road Thursday night to reach the championship round of the Suburban League playoffs. The Raiders will play Millburn in Millburn for the title Friday at 6 p.m.

The 12U Grey team will play in the championship game tonight against Watchung Hills at 8 p.m. in Warren. The Raiders defeated New Providence in Thursday's semifinal game, 13-4. Jack Quinones went 4-for-4 with three RBI allowed four hits and two walks and struck out five to earn the victory. Nick Hiel allowed just one hit in two innings pitched in relief. Colin O’Brien drove in three runs in the victory.

The 10U Gold team will take on South Orange/Maplewood at the same time for the bracket championship of the Central Jersey League. The 10U Gold Raiders already reached the finals earlier this summer in both the district tournament and the Central Jersey Tournament in Green Brook.
