Scotch Plains-Fanwood H.S. Senior Finishes in Top 10 in National Skating Competition

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - James Schetelich finished in Top 10 at the Junior Level at the 2014 U.S. Figure Skating Championships in Boston. Schetelich, 17, finished ninth overall at the competition held at TD Bank Garden.

The Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School senior began skating at the age of 5 after watching the 2002 Olympics.  He participated in the Basic Skills Program and began competing in 2007 as a juvenile. 

Schetelich was recognized by the Board of Education and Mayor Kevin Glover of Scotch Plains for winning the novice silver medal at the 2012 U.S. Championships.
