Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School Hosts Powderpuff Football Fundraiser

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ - Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School will host a powder-puff football showdown featuring members of the junior girls class of 2015 vs. the senior girls class of 2014.

The game will be held on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 9 a.m. on the Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School football field.

“Powder-puff is an exciting and fun-filled event where the junior and senior girls get to experience the feel of playing in a Homecoming football game,” said senior Amanda Marcus.

All proceeds from this community wide event will be donated to Cole’s Crusaders, a foundation that helps to raise money for Cole Weber, a Scotch Plains-Fanwood lacrosse player who has been battling cancer.

Members participating in the powderpuff fundraiser also encourage everyone to stay for the Raiders' Homecoming football game at 2 p.m. vs. Cranford and Raiderfest, an event hosted at the Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School soccer field where there will be carnival games and rides, food, raffles and giveaways.
