Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders fall to Summit Hilltoppers in Home Opener

SCOTCH PLAINS/FANWOOD NJ- On opening night for basketball at Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School, the Lady Raiders lost 54-40.

The Lady Raiders came out with great intensity in the first half and trailed by one at the half. Thabitha Dwumfour lead the way with 11 rebounds, and Katie Harper scored 17 for the Raiders. The Raiders also got excellent defensive contributions off the bench from Caroline Babis and Paige Heiden.

During the third quarter, the Lady Raiders committed many turnovers and were only able to score eight points in the quarter putting them down 17 going into the fourth quarter. Anna Baumeister led the way with 16 points for the Hilltoppers.

The 0-1 Lady Raiders next home game will be on Monday at 7pm against Randolph.
