SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ - A roof fire at a warehouse shut down Oak Tree Avenue for a short time today.  The fire is the second in less than a month at the facility, which is near the corner of Joan Street, not too far from the Golden Acres Shopping Center.

According to sources, the fire started where contractors were putting on a new tar roof and was extinguished a short time later.  Police, fire, and EMS responded to the scene.  No injuries are reported.

On February 20 an electrical fire at the same warehouse injured an employee, who was rushed by helicopter to an area hospital.
