Sending Holiday Cheer to Heroes

The Arc Bright Beginnings Pre-School students make cards for hereos! Credits: Deborah Charles Dreher

The children of The Arc of Union County’s Bright Beginnings Child Development Center in Cranford recently helped spread some holiday cheer to the men and women of the various branches of the U.S. Armed Services.  Using paint, paper and their two little hands – the 58 pre-school children made very unique handprint holiday greeting cards.    Teachers and staff agreed that it was a terrific project for the children, as it allowed them to bring holiday cheer and to say thank you – in their own way --  to the incredibly brave men and women who are serving our country, and as a result, haven’t seen their families in a long time.   The hope is that these cards and personal messages will ultimately bring a little touch of home to these very special men and women.
