Edison, NJ – On June 13, 2019, five members of SENSE (Student Environmental Network for a Sustainable Earth) presented a program on environmental sustainability to almost 200 third graders at Woodbrook Elementary School.

According to the Township, the purpose of the program was to emphasize the importance of protecting the health and safety of the environment and to encourage proper recycling and sustainable living.

Combining a reading of the Environmental Storybook written by SENSE Coordinator Esther Barcun, a visual power point of pictures accompanying the story, an interactive question and answer session, and a computer based Kahoot game, the SENSE students kept the third graders engaged and entertained.
