Services Start Thursday for Late Lansdale Police Chief Wally Hendricks

Services to honor the late retired Lansdale Police Chief Wallace "Wally" Hendricks begin Thursday night in Franconia Township.

Family and friends are invited to remember the World War II veteran from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m at Williams-Bergey-Koffel Funeral Home on Harleysville Pike (Route 113) in Franconia.

A second service is Friday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Hendricks will be interred at Christ Covenant Church on Mainland Road in Towamencin Township on Monday at 10 a.m.

Hendricks, 87, died Monday morning. He served more than 26 years as Lansdale Police Chief, retiring in 1980.
