CORAL SPRINGS, FL – After recent high-profile arrests of a Parkland pedestrian and a Coral Springs school officer for inappropriate contact with children, the Broward Sheriff’s Office hosted a podcast conversation on protecting children from online predators.

Sheriff Gregory Tony and Det. Michael Joo from the agency’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit had an in-depth discussion on how to identify if your child is being targeted or manipulated online.

The podcast came after a part-time Coral Springs school resource officer, Steven Daniello, 63, assigned to Westchester Elementary School was arrested this week on soliciting a minor charges. Read story here.

Last week, a 49-year-old pediatrician from Parkland, Dr. Michael Mizrachy, was arrested on child pornography charges. Read story here.
