PATERSON, NJ- A 54 year old Paterson who attempted to escape apprehension by hiding between two parked vehicles behind an abandoned home at 35 12th Avenue has been charged with several drugs related crimes.

According to a statement by Passaic County Sheriff Richard H Berdnik, Tony O. Robinson was observed “beckoning pedestrians” in the area of 12th Avenue and Auburn Street at approximately 3:47 a.m. on Thursday. Noticing PCSO Officer Darryl Thomas’ presence, Robinson allegedly fled to the rear of 35 12th Avenue.

Additional PCSO officers responded and set up a perimeter leading to Robinson’s eventual capture. Upon locating the suspect, the report reads, officers also recovered a plastic bag containing 60 small plastic vials of suspected crack-cocaine and approximately 70 glassine envelopes containing suspected heroin.
