Shooting in Scotch Plains Ruled Accidental

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ -- Scotch Plains police are looking into an apparent accidental shooting between adult family members. The gunshot wound to a 65-year old man, whose name has not been released, does not appear to be life-threatening.

The shooting was reported at 10:44 a.m. at 1988 Church Ave., located just two blocks away from Park Middle School. Police responded and blocked off the area.

Police Captain Brian Donnelly reported that the incident is still being investigated. As of now, no arrests have been made.
