WARREN, NJ - In a message from Warren Township Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Tami Crader, parents were notified that the snow day used on Wednesday, Feb. 5 will be made up on Thursday, Feb. 13, a previously scheduled day off. Watchung Hills Regional High School will also make up the day on Feb. 13, however, Watchung Hills will have a full day while K-8 will have early dismissal.
Crader said in part,"As mentioned in a previous eblast message, we have now exceeded the four snow days included in our school calendar and will need to schedule one make-up day. Rather than add the day to the end of school and in order to avoid disrupting Spring Break, we will hold a student day next Thursday, February 13. Students will be dismissed early so that families and staff can move forward with their travel plans if desired. No tests will be administered and no additional homework will be assigned, but teachers are committed to providing a meaningful day for their students. Although student absences will be recorded, students will not be penalized for missing school if their parents have plans that cannot be changed."
