MORRISTOWN, NJ — Up to one inch of snow and a “light glaze” of ice is likely Tuesday, the National Weather Service said.
A winter weather advisory in effect 7 a.m.Tuesday — 4 a.m. on Wednesday, predicts the precipitation will create slippery road conditions and impact the evening commute. The weather authority is calling for snow and sleet on Tuesday and then freezing rain and sleet ending with snow and sleet by the evening.
"If you are driving during this timeframe, please check the road conditions before you get on the road", said the Morris County Office of Emergency Management. "We suggest that you adjust your travel times to leave extra time to get to your destination, and adjust your speed to allow for the lower traction when driving with snow and ice. Please remember to drive safely, don’t accelerate or decelerate too quickly, and most importantly… DON’T BE IN A HURRY!!!"
