The Board of Directors of ACG New Jersey, the New Jersey chapter of the global corporate growth organization, Association for Corporate Growth, has announced a transition point for the chapter. After serving for the first 11 years as the chapter’s founding president, Mark Kuehn, Director Corporate Business Development with the Gibbons law firm, has passed the presidential torch to Sally Glick, Principal and Chief Growth Strategist for the certified public accounting and consulting firm, Sobel & Company, which is located in Livingston. Kuehn will continue to serve the chapter in the new position of Founding Chairman.
Dennis Ciemniecki, Operational Excellence Manager with PSE&G, one of the original Directors commented, “Mark brought together an ACG NJ ‘Steering Committee’ in the fall of 2002, which I had the distinct pleasure to participate on. It led to the establishment of ACG New Jersey as an official ACG chapter in January 2004 with Mark leading the organization since. While we will certainly miss him in that role, we are equally excited about Sally taking the reins.”
During its 11 year history, ACG New Jersey has quickly established itself as a premier, value-added professional organization for senior business executives, owners, investors and advisors serving every industry sector across the state. ACG NJ has more than 250 current active members who meet regularly in multiple venues from Princeton to Woodbridge to Hackensack to Morristown to West Orange.
“I have thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful opportunity and privilege to get ACG New Jersey off the ground and lead its initial growth as we have strived to bring together business leaders from across the state,” reflected Kuehn. “I am very excited about Sally's new leadership role, as I will continue working with the chapter as its Founding Chairman, and continue leading its corporate peer group forums.”
As Executive Vice President of Marketing, Glick has served on the ACG NJ Board and led the group’s marketing committee for the past five years. She is now assuming the title of president, with a specific goal of bringing new levels of value-added solutions for its membership.
Glick commented, "I am honored to follow in Mark's footsteps. As the Founder and visionary behind the New Jersey Chapter, Mark set a bar with high standards for us all. I am very excited to take on this responsibility and to continue building the highly regarded ACG NJ legacy in the state. I see ACG NJ as an elite professional group serving the business community and I am thrilled to help make it even stronger as we expand our demographics and our geographic footprint to embrace and engage even more of the state’s most influential business leaders."
