Social Security Planning Discussion at Sparta Library

June 6, 2014 at 4:51 PM

SPARTA, NJ-Sparta resident and Certified Financial Planner Micahel J Aloi will be presenting a seminar called Savvy Social Security Planning at the Sparta Library on Thursday, June 12 beginning at 6:30 p.m

The evening will be spent discussing the  different Social Security strategies.  Not only will he cover  the implication of collecting early versus collecting late and lump sum payout, Aloi will be talking about Social Security as a part of a retirees overall retirement plan.

With 81 possible strategies and programs called File and Suspend, Start/Stop/Start and Claim Now, Claim Later, Social Security is more complex than most people imagine.

"This discussion is not a sales pitch," Aloi wants to stress.  It  does offer the opportunity for attendees to receive a complimentary Social Security analysis.  This is the 13th time he has given this program this year alone.

Aloi suggests the program would be most beneficial for baby boomers in their late 50s to early 60s .  It is important to understand that the decisions they make as to how and when to take benefits will have long range implications for not just themselves but spouses as well.

"The decision baby boomers make now can have a fundamental impact on the total amount of benefits they stand to receive over their lifetime," says Aloi.
