EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ — The East Brunswick softball team scored a run in the bottom of the ninth for an 11-10 victory over Woodbridge on opening day Monday.

Caitlin Gay went 3-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and two runs scored for the Bears, who came back from a two-run deficit in the bottom of the eighth inning to extend the game.

Jenna Garofalo hit two doubles and a single, scored twice and knocked in a run, Brianna Boen went 3-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and one RBI, and Madison Boen had a double, a single and two runs scored in the victory.
