SOMERSET, NJ - Somerset County is reporting a number of road closures and trees down Tuesday afternoon due to Tropical Storm Isaias.

As of 1 p.m., the local roads closed are:

  • Franklin Twp. - Amwell Rd will be closed until further notice between Mettlers Rd and Van Cleef Rd. 
  • Franklin Twp. - Avoid Claremont Rd until further notice due to road closures from a downed pole.
  • Franklin Twp - County Route 518 will be closed in the area of Canal Road until further notice. 
    County Route 518 is Closed in the area of the canal bridge until further notice.
  • Bernards Township - Lyons Rd will be closed between Lyons Pl and Stonehouse Rd until further notice due to trees on Wires. 
  • Bernards Township - Liberty Corner Rd will be closed between Douglas Rd and Somerville Rd until further notice due to trees on Wires.
  • Bernards Township - South Finley Ave will be closed between Collyer Lane and Homestead Rd until further notice.
  • Route 22 eastbound in Bridgewater between Country Club Road and Route 202/206 because of a transformer fire
  • Washington Valley Road in the Martinsville section of Bridgewater between Van Nest Drive and Chimney Rock Road
  • Vosseller Avenue in Martinsville north of Merriam Drive
  • Thompson Avenue in Bridgewater near the Chimney Rock Inn is partially blocked
  • Route 202/206 in Bedminster between River Road and Somerville Road
  • Route 206 in Bedminster between Lamington Road and Holland Avenue
  • Talmadge Avenue in Bound Brook in the area of Vosseller Avenue
  • Hillcrest Road near the Warren Township border is closed in both directions
  • Millstone River Road near the airport in Hillsborough
  • South Branch and New Centre roads in Hillsborough
  • Westbound Camplain Road in Hillsborough
