HAMILTON, NJ -- Hamilton Township Police are investigating an early Tuesday morning robbery of a local convenience store.   Detectives are investigating a robbery that took place at approximately 1:30am Tuesday morning of the Quick Check store located at 2695 South Broad Street.

The suspect entered the convenience store and made a small food purchase.   The suspect reached over the sales counter as the cashier clerk opened the cash register and then removed an undisclosed amount of cash.   He then attempted to flee after a brief physical altercation with the cashier.  The suspect fled the Quick Check on foot in an unknown direction.   

He is described as a light-skinned black male between the ages of 18 and 22 years old, approximately 5 foot 10 inches tall with a medium build.  The suspect appeared to be wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, ripped jean shorts, white sneakers, and a baseball cap with a sticker on the brim.
