What is a Roundtable Discussion? A roundtable discussion is an opportunity for participants to get together in an informal setting to examine issues as they relate to a specific topic. There is no formal agenda, but there can be specific topics. The facilitator needs to be well-versed on the topic and be able to engage participants in the discussion. These conversations will be completely unplugged, therefore no tech will be necessary. Participants will not be required to register for any of the sessions and have the freedom to move to other sessions at any time. They can start at one session and then move to another, or they can join a session already in progress. Either case, presenters are prepared for any audience.

Workshops will begin promptly at 8:45 am and will be conducted by SBSD staff, parents, students and the South Brunswick Police Department. All are invited to come and participate.

Roundtable workshops by students include:

  • Positive Uses of Social Media
  • Realities of Cyber Safety
  • Wellness Fair
  • Student Led Discussions

Roundtable workshops by parents include:

  • Realities of Cyber Safety
  • Parenting With and Without Technology
  • Real Talk with Real Kids - A Student Panel
