SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – Village officials officially welcomed Tito’s Burritos to town with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday. The new restaurant has been open since September 30, and now has gotten acclimated to its surroundings.
“It feels really good so far,” said owner Mike Caldarella. “The vibe here in South Orange is cool. The town is just a great, vibrant, smart, diverse community. There’s something about it. People are in a good mood here.”
On hand to help celebrate were: Village President Alex Torpey; Trustee Howard Levison; South Orange Village Center Alliance (SOVCA) President Matt Glass and Intirim Director Nancy Gould; SOVCA Board members Leslie Pogany, Billy Agnellino, Michael Feinberg and Celina Herrero; and South Orange Chamber of Commerce President Kenny Cucchia.
“I am ecstatic for this opening,” said Cucchia. “Tito’s has the most awesome burritos on the planet.”
The menu at Tito’s features a broad array of tacos, burritos, salads and chicken wings. Caldarella notes that customers don’t even need to stick to the printed menu. They are happy to create any custom combination a customer might want.
“We are beyond excited for Tito’s arrival in South Orange,” said Gould. “They are a wonderful addition to our Village Center.”
