SOUTH ORANGE, NJ – The Board of Trustees has postponed the town hall meeting called to discuss the response to Hurricane Sandy.
The meeting, planned for Tuesday, Feb. 26 at the South Orange Performing Arts Center, has not been rescheduled yet.
“We had a conflict with the space in SOPAC, so we're looking for a new date,” Alex Torpey, village president, wrote in an email.
The town hall meeting is part of a larger effort by village officials to evaluate the response to the storm on the part of the village. In addition, officials want to hear about residents’ experiences with problems that were out of the village’s control, such as the power outages that lasted for nearly two weeks for some residents.
Officials have meet with various neighborhood associations. In addition, a questionnaire is posted on the village’s website. Residents can complete the questionnaire by visiting: http://surveys.questionpro.com/a/TakeSurvey?id=3366568%20%20
