SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — A free Rabies Vaccination Clinic for Dogs and Cats sponsored by the South Orange Health Department shall take place on Saturday, January 11, 2020, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the South Orange Rescue Squad Building, 62 Sloan Street. Your dog or cat must have their rabies vaccination updated if it expires prior to November 1, 2020. Dr. Marc Levine will be administering the vaccines.

First time vaccinations will provide immunity for one year beginning 30 days after the vaccination. For subsequent vaccinations, animals will receive immunity for three years.

All dogs must be leashed and under the owner's control; all cats must be in carriers. If you are a South Orange resident, please bring the license renewal application with you. Animal licenses may be purchased at the clinic; and the tag shall be mailed to you. Non-residents are welcome as well, and a rabies vaccination certificate can be mailed to you or your township health department.
