Barclay's customers are well-known in food distribution, ecommerce, retail fulfillment, third party logistics, manufacturing, the beverage industry, and various industrial operations.

"We service many other unique and different industries from Ocean County up to Bergen County and into New York with a need to streamline their operations and save money," said Vice President of Sales Will Ruscher. "Our primary focus is commercial, however, we do find ourselves helping out the retail, mom and pop customers as well."

According to Vice President of Operations Cassandra Bossen, Barclay is well known for its 'elite, dependable service, and highly trained technicians.' "Eliminating operational down-time and keeping things moving is the goal of the service department," Bossen said, adding, "Communication and urgency is key to a customer-driven service organization.”

In addition to its long-serving home and facilities in the Borough of South Plainfield, Barclay also operates two parts depots – one in Parsippany, NJ and another in Harriman, NY.

Additionally, according to Director of Customer Relations Carolyn Walezak, a South Plainfield resident., Barclay's motto is '100% Customer Satisfaction' and its team of approximately 100 employees worked together daily to meet this goal through 'open communication, quick acknowledgement, and assertive action' and by 'providing the best service and understanding and satisfying the customers’ immediate and long term needs.'

"At Barclay, we understand the key to our success lies in our expert team. We help each client achieve the same success with a mission that guides every aspect of daily operations," said Barclay's President Bernard E. Saxon, adding that the company's mission includes creating a positive work environment; becoming the go-to-partner; offering high-quality products; and providing personal-touch support along with giving back to the community.

With roots in South Plainfield for generations, Barclay is a proud sponsor of Shirley Thompson’s annual Christmas Toy Drive and, for the past few years, a team of employees have worked together to collect toys as well as monetary donations to purchase gift cards for local families in need. Since 2001, the company has supported Operation Homefront through a Buy a Jack, Help a Soldier sales campaign that directs a portion of the proceeds of hydraulic and electric pallet jack sales to the non-profit organization.

Additionally, in June 2019, Barclay donated its red, white and blue painted forklift for the borough's A Salute to Our Military event held at Veterans Memorial Park.

"The American Flag was displayed from our truck during the welcome services. We were honored to be a part of such a great event for our town," said Walezak, adding, "We have been at this same location at 2401 South Clinton Avenue for generations. This is our home! We are a proud South Plainfield company."
