South Plainfield Boys Soccer Defeats Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE, NJ - The South Plainfield boys soccer team used stifling defense to beat Woodbridge, 3-0, yesterday in Woodbridge.  South Plainfield held Woodbridge to just one shot on goal, and South Plainfield goalie Kyle Dennis recorded his eighth shutout of the season.

Josue Cevallos had two goals and an assist, Italo Cardoso had a goal and Kevin Casteblanco and Jose Guardado each added an assist to lead South Plainfield on offense.

The victory improves South Plainfield’s overall record to 7-1-1.  South Plainfield’s next game is away on Oct. 1 against Ridge in Basking Ridge.
