SOUTH PLAINFIELD, NJ – The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a winter weather advisory for South Plainfield and throughout central New Jersey beginning early Friday at 1 a.m. and ending at 12 noon.
According the Weather Service, “precipitation will begin as rain, but as temperatures fall during the overnight hours the rain will change to snow.”
Snow accumulations of 2 to 4 inches are expected mainly on grassy surfaces with periods of limited visibility.
Motorists are advised to use caution while driving as the snowfall will impact Friday’s morning rush hour.
Slick spots could form on secondary roadways and on sidewalks as temperatures fall into the mid 30s overnight.
