TOMS RIVER — Toms River North Danny Moreno scored just 59 seconds into the first overtime to lead Toms River North to a 3-2 victory over Southern Saturday at Toms River North. 

Southern was behind 1-0 at halftime. Southern's all-time leading scorer and Shore Conference leading scorer Kevin Kiernan scored twice in the second half to put the Rams up 2-1.  

North's Jake Nagle tied the game with just 1:53 left in regulation that put the contest into overtime.

Junior Jake Nagle tied the game for Toms River North with 1:53 left in regulation with a left-footed shot to the left side of the goal.

Both Kiernan's goals were headers on assists from Brandon Notte. 

The two rivals played three times against one another in the last two weeks. The Rams defeated North 4-3, they tied one another 3-3 last Saturday morning and the Mariners took the championship on Saturday. 

The Mariners and Rams shared the 2020 Shore Conference Class A South title.
