Sparta Bounces Back with 55-0 Football Victory over High Point


SPARTA, NJ - The Sparta varsity football team bounced back from its only loss of the season with a 55-0 victory over High Point on Friday night.

Lucas Faria scored four touchdowns and the Spartans racked up 35 points in the first quarter. Faria caught three passes for 87 yards and rushed five times for 37 yards. Teddy Fischer was the leading receiver for Sparta (5-1) with five catches for 79 yards and a TD.

Three different Sparta quarterbacks threw a touchdown pass in the game--Matt Seville (9-for-12 for 149 yards and two TDs), Anthony Argula (3-for-3 for 92 yards and one TD) and Jarrett DiBlasio (2-for-3 for 24 yards, one TD).
