SPARTA, NJ – Sparta High School boys lacrosse took down Roxbury on Tuesday 13-5 on Veterans Field.  Brendan Cina led the Spartan effort with five goals.

Seven Spartans scored against the Gaels.  Aidan Maxwell and Ollie Sears had two goals each.  Sears also had an assist.

Beck Gozdenovich, Evan Johnson, Chase Geer and Luke Wilson each added one to the total.  Gozdenovich had two assists.

Patrick Milliken was credited with three assists.  Colby Plotts picked up six ground balls and got an assist.

TJ Hurley won 10 of 14 faceoffs.  Lucas Hein won four of six.

Reed McCall shared time in goal with Eric Anderson.  McCall had 12 saves, giving up three.  Anderson stopped four, giving up two to the Gaels.

Sparta’s record moves to 7-1.  They will play at West Morris on Saturday.
