SPARTA, NJ – More than 100 Sparta High School students spent their Friday afternoon in the school’s gym for a good cause.  They rallied together for DECA’s Annual Volleyball fundraiser.  The selected charity was The Good Grief Foundation.

The Morristown based Good Grief Foundation is a non-profit group filled with a community of counselors who understand the pain death causes and provides counseling for those who have lost loved ones at a young age. It has helped countless amounts of children, teens, young adults and families get through the traumatic experience of losing a loved one.

Sparta DECA, formerly Distributive Education Clubs of America, is a co-curricular club that focuses on business, marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship.  DECA is one of the largest clubs at Sparta High School, with over 190 active members.  As the club continues to grow, members acknowledge the importance of giving back and look forward to continuing their efforts at donating their time into future charitable events.
