Co-founder Mitch Morrison said, “Ben Del Coro is a very worthy recipient of the Sparta Patriot Award.  Ben is great family man with a wife of 17 years and 2 active sons.  I do not know how he can possibly do everything that he does. And he does it all extremely well.
As the Sparta Farmers Market volunteer, non-paid manager, Ben has grown the Sparta Farmers Market  from just a few farmers and vendors four years ago to over 30 farmers and vendors today.

Ben fully understands the reasons we need to change our lifestyles and start eating locally and supporting our local businesses. Through the Sparta Farmers Market, Ben helps connect our local producers with the SFM customers and they absolutely love it."

In addition to the vendors there are often events that include live music, cooking demonstrations, yoga classes and other activities.  June 21 will feature Soltice Summerfest.  On the second Saturday of each month the market is open there are different festival.   Peach Festival scheduled for July 12.
