SPARTA, NJ – The Sparta High School baseball team defeated Morris Knolls on Tuesday 4-3 at home after being shut out by Montville on Monday in the first round of the NJSIAA tournament.

Mike Nauta made the most of two walks, scoring twice.  Austin Blendinger scored with a double, a stolen base and an RBI.  Brett Coyle also scored with a double and an RBI.

Brandon Drapeau was on the mound for seven innings with seven strike out, three walks and three hits.

Sparta’s record has moved to 13-12.
