KINGSTON, RI - Three Sparta students have been named to the Dean's List of Sparta. According to the university, "More than 4,000 undergraduates have qualified for the Spring 2014 Dean's List. The students represent all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, many other states and more than a dozen countries. More than half of the students are Rhode Islanders.
Victor T Boonham, Joelle M Gratkowski and Alexander H Makowitz, all from Sparta, earned the distinction.
To be included on the Dean's List, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 credits with a 3.30 quality point average.
In May 2014, more than 3,000 undergraduate and about 680 graduate degrees were awarded. The University now has more than 115,000 alumni worldwide.
