Speed The Plow coming to Crawford’s’ CDC Theatre in February CDC Theatre, New Jersey’s oldest community theatre located at 78 Winans Ave. in Cranford, NJ, is preparing its’ next production, David Mamet’s Speed The Plow. A satirical dissection of the American movie business in Hollywood, Speed The Plow focuses on two high-powered Hollywood executives who have come up from the mail room together, Bobby Gould, played by Mike Burdick, and Charlie Fox, played by Jonathan Fishman. Charlie brings Bobby a surefire hit with a major star attached. Bobby has been reading an apocalyptically spiritual novel that has deep “meaning,” Enter Karen, Gould's temporary office assistant, played by Kate Baldwin and we are reminded that power is the ultimate aphrodisiac. Opening February 6, the show runs Friday and Saturday nights through February 21 with a matinee on February 15, Speed-The-Plow is presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc., New York.
