SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Saturday morning matchup between the Spotswood High School boys soccer team and Woodbridge High School today ended in a 1-1 tie after two overtime periods failed to yield a goal for either team. Spotswood's Chris Moran netted his seventh goal in four games on a pass from Yanni Hatzistefanis in the first half to open the scoring. Woodbridge evened the score in the second half on a goal from Ethan Figueroa. Figueroa scored on a pass from Cainan DaSilva.

Marcos Piastre made eight saves for Woodbridge while Andrew Bishara made seven saves for Spotswood. The tie moves Spotswood's overall record to 4-2-1. Spotswood is 4-1 in conference play and is currently second in the Greater Middlesex Conference Blue Division behind South Plainfield. The Chargers take on the Bulldogs on Monday when they travel to Metuchen High School for a 4 p.m. game. Spotswood won the previous meeting between the two teams by a score of 2-1.
