SPOTSWOOD, NJ - Head coach Chris Feibel was looking forward to a great 2018 season for the Spotswood High School golf team after just falling short of a division title last year. The team missed out on the Greater Middlesex Conference Blue Division title again this spring, but the Chargers are taking home the NJSIAA Sectional Central Jersey Group 1 crown.

A stellar performance by Dylan Molloy helped the Chargers to a fifth place overall finish in the Central and South Jersey NJSIAA Sectional tournament on Tuesday as well as the Central Jersey Group 1 title. It also earned Malloy an appearance in the May 21 Tournament of Champions.

The top two teams from the sectional tournament advance to the Tournament of Champions along with the top five individual golfers with ties. Spotswood finished fifth in the team competition with a +47 behind Haddonfield, Cinnaminson, Middle Township and Pennsville High Schools. Molloy earned the spot along with Finn McGarry and Brian Pelose from Haddonfield High School. All four golfers grabbed the final individual spots with their +4 performance on the golf course, joining Luke Farquhar, Zach Howard and PJ Schute.
